Goodreads Synopsis
His mind has been set on his work for the past one hundred years. Now a forbidden beauty has stolen his attention and is threatening to steal his heart too.
Callum has come to the city of romance on business, not pleasure, but when he sets eyes on a gorgeous werewolf in a nightclub, he can’t ignore the dark carnal craving she ignites in him. His work for Vampirerotique, the erotic theatre he runs with three other vampires, can wait. The only thing that matters now is satisfying his sinful hunger for a woman who most vampires would consider an enemy.
Kristina is on the run from her pack. Her alpha is intent on forcing her to bear his child and she’s not about to live through the same nightmare as her mother had. When a tall, dark and sexy vampire catches her eye, she can’t believe the ferocity of the desire he unleashes in her or the fact that she enjoys the feel of his eyes on her and his silent pursuit of her in the clubs each night.
When Kristina finally gets a taste of Callum in a forbidden kiss, will she be strong enough to resist the allure of the vampire and his offer to share his bed for a week of unbridled, wild sex, or will she surrender to her own craving for the safety and passion she finds in his embrace?
Already having been introduced to Callum in Covet, I was so very excited to read his story, as even then I was fascinated by his character. And, hurray, I was not in the slightest bit disappointed with Crave or indeed the gorgeous Callum.
Crave had a much stronger narrative than Covet. It had a focused and well developed plot, exciting characters and of course extremely hot sex scenes! No, I mean SERIOUSLY hot! :-)
I really liked Kristina's character in particular; it was refreshing to have a shifter in the mix, as I am a fan of all things shifter! Felicity was able, very successfully, to create a character in Kristina, who was full of both insecurities and intrigue, although, her character was still highly likeable. I was happy to explore her character and rooted for her very voacally.
There was a very well-developed build up and twist in Crave, which was equally refreshing. By no means is this just a story wrapped around sex. Don't get me wrong, there's several hot scenes, but the plot and characters keep pushing the story along! It really is an impressive piece of writing from Felicity.
I'm a real fan Felicity Heaton's work, and was not in the least bit disappointed by number two in this series. In fact, I loved it even more than Covet, hence the 5 stars!
